UK Deaf Sport Consultation Event
On April 19th Sport England announced a new £8m funding initiative aimed at increasing participation within Disability Sport. Organisations are being invited to make applications to this fund for project s that will reduce the barriers faced by people with a disability and increase the access to Sport and Physical Activity.
In order to ensure that deaf people benefit from this opportunity and that our application reflects the needs, views and opinions of deaf and hard of hearing people, UK Deaf Sport is running a series of consultation events during “Deaf Awareness Week” to establish the key projects that we will include into our bid.
Further information on the event can be found on our website at http://www.ukdeafsport.org.uk/news.php?action=view&news_id=170
The event will only be as successful due to the people and input that we receive from it. So please get involved and complete the booking form on the website and send it back to me ASAP
If you are also able to promote the event to any organisations that you feel might be interested or through your website and social media that would be very much appreciated
Many thanks for your help and support and i hope to see some of you at one of the sessions
